Letter from Colonels RANDRIANIRINA Michael and RAMPANARIVO Solofoniaina Thierry Addressed to General of the Army Corps (Ret.), RAVALOMANANA Richard, President of the Senate
Antananarivo, December 5, 2023
Sir, It is an honor for us, whose names are mentioned above, to address this letter to you. As cadets and sons, we humbly ask for your mercy and assistance as a father.
As senior officers, everything we undertake is done for the Homeland (“ho an’ny TANINDRAZANA”), and we assure you that we have not engaged, nor will we engage, in any actions of a political nature that could endanger national sovereignty or undermine unity among the military.
Please accept, Sir, the expression of our highest consideration.
(Two signatures conclude this letter.)

As a reminder, in November 2023, these two colonels incited the Malagasy army to mutiny. Arrested and charged with endangering the security of the Malagasy State, they were placed under house arrest.
They were released in February 2024, after receiving a suspended sentence—but mostly thanks to a written letter of apology and a promise not to do it again.
On October 14, 2025, he did it again—with a cinematic flair. Thus, a repeat offender and perjurer is now preparing to take an oath before a “cinematic” Constitutional High Court (you know Fantomas?)—a court he himself had dissolved and then “resurrected”—as the “interim Head of State” of… well, no one really knows what anymore.
